Web site development
Text:
This phase will use the resources prepared in press releases, documentation, and collateral materials for text insertion.

Graphics: Graphics that are electronically stored and ready to use will greatly reduce development time, thus reducing costs. Graphics that fulfill this requirement are those in the following format: .png, jpeg, gif, tiff, eps, pict, PhotoShop .psd, or pcx. Documents that can be scanned and electronically reproduced will reduce development somewhat. Estimates for this phase will assume there is a 60 percent amount of text and graphics previously created. The remainder of the text will be written from industry research and interviews. Graphics will be created using two-dimensional drawing and graphic editing programs. Extensive two and three-dimensional artwork will elevate costs.

HTML Layout: Pages that can be created using normal page theme tools within FrontPage are expected within the scope of this development phase. This includes some Java and ActiveX objects that are also features of FrontPage.

Hosting, Rewrite and Testing
Before the site is put on the Internet in a secure, password protected location, it will undergo preliminary testing to review features and interactivity. However, some testing of links, forms, and E-mail feedback can only be tested while connected to the Internet. Rewrite of pages and recreation of graphics are charged by an hourly rate. It is important that you review each page with a critical eye and provide feedback that is meaningful enough for one set of changes in order to avoid additional charges.
Hourly charge for site changes in this phase: $65

Site Promotion and Marketing
Listed is a market promotion campaign that will be designed to drive visitors to your web site. Once the site is made public, the items in bold will be our responsibility. With careful selection of key words, titles, and descriptions, the bold items will increase in their effectiveness. The goal here is to be among the top companies through those search engines most commonly used on the Internet. NOTE: There are many industry specific search engines and organizations that provide banner links for charge or for a reciprocal link. Your company will be responsible for these industry specific organizations and search engines. The strategies in the list below are created in order of highest priority and effectiveness.

  • Search Engine Submissions
  • Highly targeted submissions to the top 12 search engines for maximum effectiveness
  • HTML MetaTag keywords and descriptions
  • Solicited or Opt-In Email
  • Offline Advertising
  • Press Release written. It will be the responsibility of your company to submit to local news media and industry trade magazines.
  • Banner Advertising
  • Discussion Forums
  • Sponsorships and Affiliations
  • Newsgroups
  • Strategic Linking
  • Spam

NOTE: Spamming is not recommended for normal business relationships. We recommend that caution is used if this strategy is implemented. Under most circumstances, spamming will result in negative reactions from those you are trying to target.

Maintenance and Feedback
Changes and updates are recommended to invite return visitors. Changes should also reflect new technologies and services that you are promoting. We recommend that your company be responsible for customer feedback, including E-mail responses and telephone follow-up to inquiries. We recommend that inquiries pass through the addresses: info@yourcompany.com and sales@yourcompany.com. As more addresses are added through your company ISP, we recommend use of generic addresses such as support@yourcompany.com or controller@yourcompany.com. We also recommend that you immediately begin using these addresses when reordering collateral marketing materials. An Exchange or mail server can provide many addresses through one on-site location. Although we may not recommend this initially, it may be useful to your company in the future.

Hourly charge for site changes in this phase: $65
